Building Community and Excitement at AISA
Week 2 at the Artificial Intelligence Student Association (AISA) at the University of Oregon (UO) was an exciting mix of AI exploration, community building, and hands-on project launches. As AI continues to shape the future, our members came together to discuss cutting-edge trends and prepare for upcoming events like QuackHacks.
Kicking Off with AI Swag
To set the tone, we distributed exclusive Perplexity AI sticker packs, turning laptops, notebooks, and water bottles into personal expressions of our AI-driven journey. These small but vibrant tokens symbolize AISA’s growing presence at UO and the passion fueling our AI innovation community.
Gearing Up for QuackHacks 🦆
One of the most anticipated moments of the night was our deep dive into QuackHacks, UO’s premier hackathon event. Students brainstormed creative project ideas, networked with potential teammates, and discussed strategies for integrating AI into their hackathon solutions. The energy in the room made it clear—this year’s QuackHacks will be an electrifying showcase of innovation.
Exploring the Latest AI Breakthroughs
The evening also featured discussions on the latest AI advancements, covering topics like GPT-powered automation, ethical AI considerations, and real-world AI applications. Members exchanged ideas on how AI is influencing industries, sparking debates about the future of machine learning, responsible AI use, and the evolving landscape of AI ethics.
Launching Exciting Club Projects 🚀
AISA officially kicked off its AI-focused club projects, where students formed teams to work on cutting-edge AI applications, research, and creative problem-solving initiatives. With ambitious goals and innovative ideas, these projects will serve as the foundation for AI-driven collaborations throughout the term.
